First Sunday after Pentecost: Trinity Sunday

  • All Saints Episcopal Church 651 Eucalyptus Avenue Vista, CA 92084 United States (map)

Join us on Sunday, May 31 at 9:30am as we celebrate the First Sunday after Pentecost: Trinity Sunday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

This special day invites us to reflect on the mystery and majesty of God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three persons, one God, bound together in perfect love.

Our Gospel reading from Matthew 28:16-20 shares Jesus’ final commission to his disciples: to go forth, make disciples of all nations, baptize, teach, and remember his enduring promise: “I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Come for worship, prayer, music, and a message of hope and purpose for all people.

All are welcome, exactly as you are.

About the Artwork: “The Mission to the World” by Jesus Mafa

This image offers a vivid and deeply human vision of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16–20. Set within an African landscape and community, the risen Christ stands among ordinary people, reminding us that the Gospel is not bound to one place, culture, or time. Christ’s command to “go and make disciples of all nations” is shown not as distant history, but as a living call spoken into every generation.

This image reflects our understanding that the Church is both gathered and sent. We come together in worship to encounter the risen Lord, and then are sent back into the world to serve, teach, love, and bear witness. The diversity of those surrounding Christ reminds us that all people are invited into God’s family, and that the mission of Christ belongs to the whole Church.
