Sixth Sunday of Easter

  • All Saints Episcopal Church 651 Eucalyptus Avenue Vista, CA 92084 United States (map)

You are warmly invited to join us for the Sixth Sunday of Easter on May 10 at 9:30 AM.

Dear Friends,

This week’s Gospel, John 14:15–21, offers a powerful reminder of Jesus’ promise: that we are not left alone. Through love and obedience, we are drawn into a living relationship with Christ—one that assures us of God’s abiding presence through the Advocate, the Spirit of truth.

In a world that can often feel uncertain or disconnected, this passage speaks clearly: we are known, we are loved, and we are never abandoned.

Come and worship with us as we reflect on what it means to live in that promise, to love as Christ calls us, and to recognize God’s presence among us.

All are welcome. We look forward to being together.

Blessings,
All Saints’ Episcopal Church

Readings this week are:
Acts 17:22-31
Psalm 66:7-18
1 Peter 1 Peter 3:13-22
John 14:15-21

About the Artwork: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

This image draws the eye to the clarity and weight of the commandments—simple words, yet bold and unmistakable: “You shall not…” The shallow focus isolates these lines, inviting us to linger on them, not as abstract rules but as something immediate and personal.

In light of the gospel—“If you love me, you will keep my commandments”—the image shifts from law to relationship. The commandments are no longer just prohibitions; they become expressions of love. They are the shape that love takes in daily life—how we honor one another, how we choose integrity, how we live in right relationship with God and neighbor.

The stark typography reinforces this: these are not suggestions, but neither are they burdens. They are grounding truths, steady and enduring, calling us back to what love looks like when lived out in the world.
